I don’t see any specific reason for that, but I seem to like 10 sans for 1 serif typeface, even though one would think they offer less room for variation. Here is another great — and free — sans serif by Ascender Fonts.

Many of these are too obvious to be truly useful1, but the remarks about white space, overlapping elements and forgetting about the paper’s limits are interesting.
