Gerd Arntz Archive
Gerd Arntz (1900-1988) designed more than 4000 pictograms and visual signs for Otto Neurath’s Isotype (International System Of TYpographic Picture Education). This website is a compilation of his amazing work. The symbols, meant to summarize words and ideas, are surprisingly time-proof and efficient, and the historical background of their creation as well as the ideas advocated by Arntz make these pictures true icons of the XXth century.
